1. More Vitamin C
Now with a higher dose of Vitamin C (Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate), our reformulated neroli mist is more effective than ever. Expect more of the antioxidant brightening, firming, and clarifying properties. The new concentration is still gentle, but optimized to help you achieve noticeable results.
2. Updated Preservative
Our updated preservative is 100% plant derived preservative and produced through a fermentation process. Made from upcycled banana tree leaves and trunk, this preservative helps reduce waste. Beyond being an effective preservative, it is also rich in bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, alkaloids, glycosides, and terpenoids.
The short answer is—not very! It was necessary to update our supply chain for certain ingredients, and we took the opportunity to update and optimize two aspects of the formula. For the most part, it's the same Neroli Mist that you know and love.
That said, we are thrilled about the enhanced effectiveness with this optimized Vitamin C concentration, and we can't wait for you to see amazing results with the updated formula!
From the feedback that we've gotten so far, as well as the science behind enhancing the Vitamin C concentration, we believe that the new formula is even more effective than the original. See what the testers said below!
A group of customers and licensed skincare professionals who had used the original Neroli Mist tested the updated formula for 2 weeks and were invited to make comparisons between the two as well as share their overall results. Here are a few things they had to say:
"It makes a lot of difference the addition of more Vitamin C. The reduction of inflammation and breakouts on my skin was significant."
"I'm not too versed on ingredients, but I do appreciate when I can read the ingredients and clearly understand what they are, as I can here! I'm a fan of niacinamide, aloe leaf, and willow bark extract, so no wonder I love this stuff!"
"I love the addition of the Banana extract. I don’t think there is anything like this on the market and I believe it helped with my hyperpigmentation. Curious to see how my skin improves with longer use!"
"Very light and desirable. Smells fresh and clean."
"My skin felt and looked more hydrated and firm"
"This most is really fantastic overall and helps with my acne scars a lot!"
Alongside the soothing and hydrating ingredients found in the reformulated Neroli mist, the increased Vitamin C % is well balanced to help nourish the skin while providing additional clarifying and brightening benefits. Although the optimized concentration is higher, we were still conscious of keeping the formula gentle for sensitive skin.
While we have always recommended the Neroli Mist for acne-prone skin, it also has significant graceful aging benefits, especially with the enhanced Vitamin C concentration. The Neroli Mist supports many common skin concerns by:
Clarifying Breakouts
Lessening the Appearance of Hyperpigmentation
Lessing the Appearance of Irritation
Firming the Skin
Enhancing Brightness and Texture
Supporting Skin Hydration
This facial mist is very versatile and can be used in so many ways!
Use as a toning facial mist
Our favorite way to use the Neroli Clarifying Complexion Mist is to generously mist your face after cleansing.
Use as a gentle cleanser
We recommend using this mist as a morning cleanser. To use as a cleanser, spray generously onto your skin and wipe clean using a clean reusable cotton round or organic cotton pad.
Mix with your favorite mask
Add a few mists to any dry mask for added skin clearing and calming benefits. Our favorite combination for acne prone skin is this facial mist with our Mineral Purifying Mask.
Use as a midday refresher
This facial mist is made of a blend of neroli, immortelle, thyme and rock rose hydrosols. The resulting aroma, combined with the refreshing and cooling mist, naturally calms the nerves, uplifts your spirit and calms the complexion.
Niacinamide
When it comes to the Neroli Mist, the answer is YES, as they work in synergy together! This is because the Vitamin C we use in the Neroli Mist, called Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate (SAP), has a higher pH than most other forms of commonly used Vitamin C (that are sometimes contraindicated with Niacinamide). This allows for a more stable and effective formula. For this reason, both Niacinamide and Vitamin C are found in the Neroli Mist to leverage their synergistic benefits.
Retinol and Retinoids
The Neroli Mist is considered safe to layer with retinol, although patch testing is recommended for sensitive/reactive skin. Similar to the combo of Vitamin C and Niacinamide, Vitamin C and retinol/retinoids can be potentially irritating to skin depending on the pH of the Vitamin C and overall sensitivity of the skin. The Neroli Mist contains soothing ingredients such as green tea and immortelle to help balance out actives. It also has a pH of 5.5 which makes it a better match for use with retinoids compared with certain other Vitamin C products that use more acidic forms of Vitamin C. All things considered, it should be safe to layer with retinols, but always patch test if you have reactive skin!
