I can’t believe I’m saying this, but…2022 is almost at an end! Does anyone else have difficulty stopping to celebrate and appreciate the milestones & goals you reach throughout the year? I think it’s important to celebrate these accomplishments, which is why, as we reflect on 2022, I wanted to take a moment to share with you all that happened this year! Here are some we are most proud of as a team: 

1. WON THE 2022 BEAUTY INNOVATION AWARD FOR BEST NATURAL SKINCARE PRODUCT OF THE YEAR

This awards program aims to evaluate and recognize the most outstanding
and innovative companies, services, and products revolutionizing and advancing the Beauty industry. In November 2022, the whole Apoterra line was awarded for Best Natural Skin Product of the Year.

2. NOW AVAILABLE IN MORE LOCATIONS THAN EVER

This has definitely been a year for expansion. In 2022, we launched our best selling products in all Heyday spa locations—as well as signing up 46 other Apoterra partners across the country, including many licensed estheticians! This expansion will help you to purchase Apoterra products locally and get the personalized guidance you deserve, as well as having the opportunity to get transformative Apoterra facials at many partner locations. This expansion allows for Apoterra products to be more accessible for many of you. Plus, you can support your local stores by shopping local! (find us near you)

3. PLANTED 25,000 TREES IN 2022!

Because of your support, an estimated 25,000 trees will be planted through our partnership with Trees for the Future, where we donate the cost of planting one tree for each product sold. This helps both Apoterra and our customers to reduce our carbon footprints! For every product you purchased, the tree that you planted: 

• Helps absorb 48 pounds of carbon dioxide per year 
• Produces enough oxygen for 2 people per year
• Helps reduce erosion and recharge ground water

4. JOINED PACT RECYCLING COLLECTIVE

A large part of the carbon footprint coming from the skincare industry is due to consumers throwing away hard-to-recycle packaging. We joined PACT Recycling collective to give our customers the options to recycle skincare empties—of any brand—via mail or drop-off boxes.

We offer a 15% discount for those who participate in recycling (any brand) empties through PACT! 

5. CHOOSING A NEW MOTTO THAT REFLECTS OUR HEART AS A COMPANY

We have recently announced our new motto: “Putting the Care in Skincare.” This motto represents so many aspects of Apoterra: our commitment to skin wellness & health, dedicated customer service and skincare guidance, elevating skin care to a moment of self-care, and our commitment to sustainability. Leading into 2023, we hope to improve busy individuals’ lives by making skincare about wellness and self-care, as well as caring for the future health of our planet.

6. RELEASING 6 NEW PRODUCTS + NEW GIFT SETS

After many requests, we recently expanded our body care line to include our functional aromatherapy line - the Luminous Body Collection. This collection includes two lush, long-lasting body bars and two “oil-to-milk” emulsifying body oils (for quick and easy absorption), all with stress-reducing aromatherapeutic blends. 

We also made our signature tulsi blend available for on-the-go stress management through our Adaptogenic Aromatherapy Roll On. And our newest accessory might be our favorite: this gorgeous Masking Bowl and Copper Spoon set is sustainably handmade by local artisans.

7. CELEBRATING 10 YEARS OF APOTERRA SKINCARE

This fall, we celebrated 10 years as a natural and sustainable skincare company. From Apoterra’s humble beginnings as a one-woman Etsy shop 10 years ago, the weight of this achievement is not lost on us! Although we’re very glad to have expanded our team, production studio, and skincare line over the years, it is so special to have made it 10 years in the industry without changing the important things: our values, our quality & freshness guarantee, our holistic herbalist approach to skin health, and our commitment to sustainability and inclusivity. We are so grateful to the community of Apoterra lovers who have sustained us over the years.
