Why This Face Mask Works

Hibiscus not only gives this exfoliating mask its deep red color, but also promotes cell renewal and improves elasticity. Acai and rosehip deliver vitamins and antioxidants that protect skin from environmental stressors. Glycolic acid-rich sugar, oats, and pumpkin are a natural face scrub that gets rid of dead skin that causes dullness; and honey envelopes skin with soothing hydration, while simultaneously fighting off bad bacteria that can cause breakouts.

To Use as a Mask: Wet face. Take a small dime size amount of the mud, and slowly start applying to face with a gentle circular motion. The mud will melt on your skin, covering it in a thin, sweet layer of flowers and berries. Leave on for 5-15 minutes. Remove by rinsing with warm water. Follow by cleansing the skin with one of our toners and a cotton pad. Finish with a facial oil or balm. For best results, use after an herbal steam.

To Use as a Cleanser: Same application as the scrub. We recommend using this mud as a cleanser only 2-3 times per week because of its exfoliating properties.

Masking is not just about skin care, it is also about self-care. Before mixing your mask, take a moment to prepare your space for comfort. Dress in some comfy yet pretty clothes, or prepare a warm bath with detox salts or hydrating coconut milk. Settle in with some tea and a good book, soak in the bath, or take an extra-long shower. Take this moment, while the mask is working, to decompress and be in the moment. Take a few deep breaths, and thank yourself for taking the time to take care of you.

Immediate results

I immediately felt my skin firmer. Even after washing it off, the results lasted. I have tons of masks, I'm masking queen and this is definitely my new favorite!

Great face mask

Leaves my skin so soft and feels amazing wearing it. I find it very hard to apply, though. It is very solid, but as soon as its smudged out over mye skin, it starts to feel like a real face mask ;) I haven't seen any severe changes with my acne (have used it for a while now), but I would still recommend it.

Apoterra Skincare

HI Ylva! Thank you for your feedback! The Hibiscus Mud can become harder sometimes because of the honey base. We recommend warming it a little in your hands before applying or mixing with one of our toners if the texture is a concern. For dealing with breakouts, we recommend you try our Neroli Toner and Night Clarifying Treatment :)

Love these products

I'm enjoying using the Hibiscus Exfoliating Mud. I have been applying the mask 3 times a week and have noticed that my face is much clearer and its areas are more even, meaning not oily in some spots and dry in others. I follow my mask with rose spray and night regenerative balm. It is more stable. Smells wonderful.

It's quite nice!

So, this is my first time buying this product, but I did use it a few times over the course of about a month before writing this review (2x a week). I really like it! I love how all the ingredients are natural. While the jar is small, you only need a dime size of the product everyone you use it, so I imagine this product will last me well over a year. I personally use it as a mask, leaving it on for 15 minutes. Leaves me feeling refreshed, and it's recommended you use toner/moisturizer afterwards. It's a produce that I use 2x a week, it's not an everyday product because it might be too deying/abrasive on skin otherwise.

The smell of this product is quite amazing too! The jar is located on my tavle..sometimws I open the jar just to smell the product.

When applying this product, make sure the face is wet. Overall, I really love this product!!

Amazing!!!

I used this as a 10 minute facial. Absolutely wonderful! I have large pores and I had a small section on either side of my nose where the pores were drooping. This product FIXED that issue. I have NO more sagging pores. I highly, highly, highly recommend.
