Oliver Kuhn: Oliver has a B.Sc. from U.W.O. in
Geophysics, and has been active in the onshore processing business both
domestically and internationally since 1984. He is a member of the SEG, CSEG,
APEGGA, and was president of the CSEG in 2006. Outside of work he enjoys
many pursuits, including squash, snowboarding and woodwork.
Norbert Bernoth: Norbert, the founder of Apoterra
Seismic Processing Ltd., graduated from the Geophysics program at
the University of British Columbia in 1981, and is a member of APEGGA.
He has 22 years of processing experience with specialization in Western
Canada data but with widespread experience in various International
geographical areas. Norbert is also a runner with several successful
marathons to his credit.
Jim Laing: Jim also graduated
from UBC's Geophysics program in 1981. He is a partner in Apoterra
with 24 years of experience in Geophysics. He heads the Research and
Development efforts of Apoterra, and enjoys "bending computers
to his will". Jim is an amateur astronomer who also enjoys cycling
and backpacking. Stephen Biefer: Stephen
graduated from the Geophysics program at York University in 1981.
He spent the first 10 years of his career with Gulf Canada Resources,
involved in production processing, interpretation and as a service
company liaison. In 1991 Stephen joined the service side of the seismic
processing industry, working on Western Canadian, Texas and Northwest
Territories data. In his spare time Stephen enjoys reading and spending
time with his family.
John Simmonds: John Simmonds brings 27 years of processing
experience to Apoterra, starting his career in his native England
before coming to Canada in 1981. He has done extensive work in Western
Canada, Colombia as well as Saudi Arabia. John is a volunteer minor
soccer coach, plays soccer himself and is a big Crystal Palace fan.
Mike Werner: Mike graduated from the University of
Calgary in 1978. He has spent his 24 years in seismic processing dealing
with data from Western Canada, the Northwest Territories, Southern
Ontario, New York State, East Africa, the British Isles, New Zealand,
Texas and Oklahoma. Mike is a past-president and volunteer coach in
community minor basketball, and enjoys participating in recreational
basketball and volleyball.
Dieter Norgaard: Dieter graduated from SAIT
as a Geophysical Technologist, and subsequently worked at Geo-X as
a technologist prior to moving into the role of seismic processor.
He brings 10 years of processing experience to Apoterra. In his spare
time Dieter is an avid golfer. |
