| Sigma Explorations Inc. announces acquisition of Apoterra
Seismic Processing Ltd. and new Executive Team Sigma Explorations Inc. is pleased to announce that it has made a corporate acquisition of Apoterra Seismic Processing Ltd. effective October 1, 2008 . (Both Companies are privately held.) Sigma's intention in purchasing Apoterra is to diversify its business activity within the geophysical sector of the Canadian oil and gas industry. It fully intends to continue the high standards of seismic data processing technology and service that have earned Apoterra its well deserved reputation within this industry for the past 14 years. Mr. Norbert Bernoth, P. Geoph. will continue as President of Apoterra and will report to Mr. Cecil Keeping, P. Geoph., President and CEO of Sigma Explorations Inc. The other members of the Sigma Executive Team will be Ms. Anne Hargreaves, P. Geol. who was recently appointed Vice President of Canadian Stratigraphic Services (2000) Ltd. and Mr. Doug Spoulos, CA who was recently appointed Sigma's Vice President of Finance and Administration. In business for 42 years, Sigma Explorations Inc. is a Calgary based geophysical service company specializing in seismic data brokerage, data management and speculative survey acquisition. Sigma also, through its subsidiary Canstrat, offers a library of lithologic logs from North American basins as well as digital data, custom logging and training courses. |
