| Apoterra Seismic Processing was formed as a Canadian company in
1995 to specialize in land seismic data processing. Still led by founder,
Norbert Bernoth, and utilizing the extensive experience of our key
personnel, Apoterra has carved out a reputation as a trusted provider
of quality 2D and 3D seismic processing services to the Canadian geophysical
exploration community. Oliver Kuhn, Norbert Bernoth, Jim Laing, Stephen Biefer,
John Simmonds and Mike Werner apply their individual 20+ years of
experience to solving your problems. It is how we use our experience
that matters, we've all seen the pitfalls that one can encounter and
know how to avoid them to produce a high quality, carefully processed
2D seismic section or 3D volume. Apoterra has positioned itself as a medium sized seismic processing company that has the capacity to handle virtually any size of 2D and 3D project. Our flat organizational structure ensures a collaborative effort, in close consultation with the client, and the flexibility to arrange our personnel to meet the capacity and turnaround needs of each project. Apoterra uses Paradigm’s Focus seismic processing software, our own innovative custom software, as well as an excellent suite of third-party software to provide leading edge solutions to your processing needs. Our internal Research and Development group are continually adding new programs to further maximize the usable information in your 2D and 3D seismic data. Apoterra utilizes Sun servers along with Ultra Sparc and Linux workstations for batch and interactive processing. We also have increased our processing capacity by using an expandable cluster of Linux based PC's, which has allowed us to handle computer intensive pre-stack processes on very large 3D volumes.
